Aid for creating, developing and passing on a business

Wednesday 4 February 2004 - 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
"CREATING, DEVELOPING AND PASSING ON A TOURISM BUSINESS "
Organised by the Chambre Régionale des Industries du Tourisme (CRIT) and the Chambre Régionale de Commerce et d'Industrie (CRCI)

Organised jointly by CRIT and the Chambre Régionale de Commerce et d’Industrie du Languedoc-Roussillon (Languedoc-Roussillon Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the conference on "Creating, Developing and Passing on a Tourism Business' made it possible to review existing aids for project holders.

CRCI president Jacques Talmier announced the strengthening of actions for the tourism sector: "Today, tourism is an essential factor for the economic development of our region and this is why the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in Languedoc-Roussillon have decided to strengthen their actions for tourism enterprises. The main work of the Chamber of Commerce Tourism Advisors consists of the reception and guidance of project holders. The founding/taking over of businesses is a priority".

This conference was the occasion to present a new website set up by the CCI to accompany entrepreneurs, the Guide des Aides au Tourisme Languedoc-Roussillon (Guide to Aid for Tourism in Languedoc-Roussillon). Alain Bastus, President of the CRCI's Regional Tourism Commission, stressed that 'the complexity of setting up these dossiers is a disadvantage that often restrains project holders. This is why the CRCI and the Languedoc-Roussillon chambers of commerce set up the website, with support from DRT and the Regional Council."

It assembles all the institutions involved in tourism. DRT, the Regional Council, the five Departmental Councils and CRCI have collaborated to put the site on line by providing precise information concerning financial aid.
